HamWebinar: Digital Entry Level License in Norway

Prof. Torbjørn Skauli LA4ZCA started a project for an “Entry Level License for Digital Technologies» for young technology enthusiasts. The purpose of this call is to increase children’s and adolescents’ digital skills and understanding of digital technology. In other words, to make them fit for the current megatrend of “Digital Transformation”. USKA News already reported on this remarkable initiative.
To this end, the amateur radio world of the 21st century offers excellent content: digital communication technology themes such as DSP, SDR, coding, network/Internet/Web technologies, micro-processors/controllers, OSS, FreeDV, LoRa/Internet of Things, GNU Radio/GRC, HAMNET, etc., building on basic electronics knowledge.

The project has been approved, but is still at a very early stage. Torbjørn kindly agreed to inform our Swiss audience about his project in person, by giving a HamWebinar for USKA. Every person who is interested in contributing to develop “Amateur Radio” to meet the challenges and expectations of the 21st century, is kindly invited to attend. Who knows – maybe Torbjørns ideas can be applied to other countries as well.

Please register your participation on the USKA HamWebinar.ch website at https://hamwebinar.ch/all-courses/ . The number of participants is limited, so please register early.

The presentation will be in english.
