HamAcademy
Review & Outlook

On 22 October 2022, the 21st and for the time being last seminar of the USKA Academy / HamAcademy took place with the topic “Adaptive Filters”. 178 radio amateurs took advantage of the 21 seminars to keep themselves technically up-to-date and to discover new things. A big thank you to all involved: participants, lecturers, USKA board and USKA office.

It is now time to hand over the management of the HamAcademy to new, younger hands in the hope and expectation that a contemporary and future-oriented further education tool for the curious, discerning radio amateur will be continued and further developed. We must not stand still.

It is not yet clear when the Academy will return with new seminars and under new management. We are in negotiations with the UHF group of the USKA, HB9UF, for a continuation.

22 October 2022, Martin, HB9ARK

P.S. Epilogue from the USKA President: With this unassuming announcement, an Era comes to an end. Martin built up the USKA Academy, later renamed HamAcademy, with great professionalism and ran it successfully for many years with great commitment. With his skilful choice of topics and speakers – which was entirely up to him – Martin made a notable contribution to bringing our technical hobby into the 21st century.

I would like to express my great appreciation to Martin for his important contribution to the welfare of Swiss amateur radio and thank him very much for it!
Willi Vollenweider HB9AMC, President
