This webinar is aimed at technically interested HAMs. I will show how to install an AREDN router as a virtual machine on a Proxmox server. We will set up this router so that it can be run as a tunnel server as well as a phone server. The prerequisite is that you have an idea of virtualization of applications and an interest in “hard core” IT. This webinar is particularly suitable for technical managers of AREDN networks.

Education: Electrical engineer ETH etc. Works mainly as an ERP expert for international companies. Almost six years ago he started a YouTube channel in the field of sensors and microcontrollers as an experiment. Wireless communication (mainly machine-to-machine) is a recurring theme on this channel. Therefore, topics such as antennas and Smith Chart are not missing.

Andreas would also like to pass on this knowledge to a younger generation who hear little about such topics in their education. And of course he wants to build a bridge to our beautiful hobby so that as many people as possible can cross it in both directions.

He has been a radio amateur since 1977, having learned Morse code in Jassbach, and in his younger years he worked as a radio operator for the ICRC and the Disaster Relief Corps.
